Dancing with the Unknown
I started painting about 14 years ago when my daughter gave me a set of oil paints, easel, some canvases, and then said, "Go for it!" We had been traveling in Tuscany and every time I took a picture I said, "I wish I could paint this." The following Christmas my daughters gave me that fabulous present! I have been painting ever since.
As a new resident of California, my art has become a reflection of the emotional energy of the west coast mountains, sea and powerful sky. Their textures, patterns, colors, and movements inspire my work in an exciting new way as I respond to and reflect the sensations of this glorious natural beauty in my abstract paintings, dancing with the unknown.
Since fall of 2018, I have returned to my art origins. I am studying painting and sculpture at Santa Reparata Internatinal School of Art (SRISA) in Florence, Italy.
